“Awakening”

This sculpture embodies the attempt of a dancer to exist on an arc between absolute motionlessness and complete collapse. It is a study of the dynamics of balance and imbalance. The composition is an exploration of the relationship between extension, fall and recovery. The title of this sculpture is allegorical to the pose in the sense that awakening from a dream can also be an example of these relationships.
